| NEW FOCUS ON CULTURAL BLOGS!
THE BLOGGERS’ DEN
(formerly the Internet Media Room)
June 2008
The Blogosphere is crackling with activity. We want to help you discover the gems in this universe so that you will be on the cutting edge in teaching culture in the FL classroom.
We have transformed the Internet Media Room into the Bloggers’ Den where the spotlight will be on bloggers who share their thoughts about living or traveling in places of interest to FL teachers. We will be on the lookout for bloggers who write about their own cultures as well as those who are tourists, study-abroad students, or ex-pats. We will consider bloggers who deal with current topics and those who write about historical events. We expect some blogs to be ongoing while others will cover a specific period of time.
We intend to focus on blogs related to the target cultures of the languages most commonly taught in the US but we will list any blogs we deem of cultural interest to our audience of foreign language educators. If you know of any other interesting blogs, please write to Christine at the NCLRC Culture Club.
During the transition, we will maintain the list of media websites in our archive (see below) until August 1st, 2008.
